virtually unlimited place-

ment options for

the Model 55

indoor/

outdoor acoustic

-suspension mini

speak-

ers,

Altec Lansing has designed

two

unique

mounting brackets.

One,

the

swivel bracket

that is shown

in the photo,

mounts

the mini

speaker to a

ceiling

wall

of a

room or patio.

The second,

' `L'' bracket

to mount the

weather-

proof

mini

speaker to the side

wall or

rear deck

of a car or

van.

The

Model 55 mini

speakers,

which

measure just

9-3/8"

5-5/16", can be

used

outdoors on a

deck or

patio. In-

door applications

include placement

kitchen or

bathroom,

in addition

use as extension

speakers anywhere

the home

where small

loudspeaker

size

is desirable.

Prior to the

development

of the

new

brackets,

the

speakers could

be used

free -standing,

placed

on a bookshelf

cabinet,

or be

wall

mounted

by using

the keyhole

slot at the back

each

loud-

speaker.

With the new

swivel -mount

bracket,

the

Model 55 speaker

system

can be attached

walls

and

ceiling and

positioned for

optimum audio

perform-

ance. Suggested

The

"L"

bracket, allows

the

Model

55 acoustic

-suspension

loudspeaker

be used

automotive

applications

for

the

very first time.

The materials

used for the

drivers are

impervious

to moisture

and

will

with-

stand

temperature

extremes

with

no dete-

rioration

of performance.

Each

woofer

cone

is constructed

of carbon -fiber

cloth

reinforced

imide dome

tweeter.

Strontium

mag-

nets are

used

for the drivers.
